so we’ve heard the announcements, but what exactly is koalathon?…
Koalathon is a our annual “big fundraiser”. We do this every fall to help create funds for our school year. You might think that the school district pays for everything - but it doesn’t. That’s where PTA comes in. We help to raise funds for the school to provide for things like field trip busses, Skate Night, Harvest Festival, community engagement events, Family Dance, online programming, playground equipment, and so much more! Please help us to meet the needs of the teachers, students, staff, and Delevan Community as a whole. And if we haven’t said it enough…thank you for being a part of our community and all that you do!
This year’s theme is an “Olympics” Koalathon, inspired by our recent summer competitions. We challenged each of the school’s classrooms to create a flag with their own key idea that represents them during Koalathon. Classrooms are then challenged to raise funds, competing with each other’s classes to see who can come out on top! Of course, it’s all in good fun, but there are incentives awarded to the top classroom earners.
